This painting was created from a photo taken just outside the city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia where I had worked for 5 years. Many enjoyable days-off and camping trips were spent in the desert and escarpment areas exploring these unbelievable landscapes. During the rainy months of January and February, the few times it rains in the desert, within 24 hours the whole area turns green with vegetation… hence the title of the painting.
 
Once the clouds disappear and the sun and heat returns, so does the desert. To witness such a manifestation of mother nature’s power one has to experience such a manifestation of the cycle of life.
