About the Painting
Painting mostly landscapes, it was only fitting that I paint the iconic Lake Moraine in Banff National Park in Alberta. The painting itself, with its purplish and dark colours, captures a turbulent and heavy sky laden with moisture that was about to discharge itself on these majestic peaks. This painting, I recreated a few years later from another vantage point which depicted a totally different setting and ambiance.
