The lower Laurentian Mountains in upper-western Quebec is famous its wealth of crystal-clear lakes of varying sizes and for its surrounding rugged mountainscape and ever-lushes coniferous forest. This painting captures the beauty of one island on lake Poisson Blanc and it’s encircling blueish waters that continuous shimmer due to the never-ending prevalent winds.

As a colorist painter this artwork is very representative of my artistic portfolio. Most of the subject matters in my urban and country landscapes are located in various provincial and national parks throughout Canada, certain areas in the Ottawa/Gatineau Region and from many photographs taken during trips in other countries.
