Happy Valley, for many years, was the center of my universe. I named it as such since it was here that I was able to abandon my other life at the entrance of this small valley and during the time there… to do lots of nothing. Many days were spent hiking the countryside in solitude, restoring or fixing this and that, to read at my heart’s content and to sleep and eat when I felt like it.

As a colorist painter this artwork is very representative of my artistic portfolio. Most of the subject matters in my urban and country landscapes are located in various provincial and national parks throughout Canada, certain areas in the Ottawa/Gatineau Region and from photographs taken during trips in other countries.
