The scene for this painting is inspired from a photo taken many years ago outside Chaux-de-Fonds, a Swiss village in the Canton of Neuchâtel. The lower half of the painting itself is a fusion of many of my painting techniques where texture and colour variations are seen within the painting but cannot be felt when touched. This allows for much more depth and dimension when viewing this artwork. The mauve and light parma coloured sky is a blend of many colours that are purposefully left to intermingle between themselves.
